Radiesse is another facial filler that can either make you look younger or make you look older if it’s over-used. We’ve said it many times, and we’ll say it again: No “space age face” at RR Aesthetics!
If Radiesse or another dermal filler will get you the results you want so that you look like a younger, prettier version of yourself, we’ll say “yes.” If you’re going to end up looking like you’ve had work done, we’ll say “no.”
We keep our patients happy by keeping our work invisible.

What can Radiesse do for me?
Radiesse is a calcium-based dermal filler that is thicker than some of the other fillers. This makes it especially good at adding volume to deeper wrinkles and folds. It works immediately but continues to work for months while it stimulates your body’s production of collagen.
Make the structure of your skin stronger.
- Lift sagging corners of the mouth.
- Build the chin or cheek area, adding more fullness.
- Reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
Do Radiesse injections hurt?
Radiesse injections go a bit deeper, so you might think they hurt worse. That isn’t necessarily the case. Like other cosmetic fillers, the injections contain Lidocaine to create a numbing effect. So, it’s just a little ouch.
It’s natural for people to feel nervous when they get injections, even if they’ve had them before. So, don’t hesitate to ask for a squeeze toy or a hand-holder from our office staff. We’re happy to oblige.
How long do Radiesse injections last?
Radiesse is long-lasting. It varies from person to person, but one treatment has lasted a year or longer for some people. Others need more than one treatment and require them more frequently than annually to maintain the results.
What is recovery like?
Non-surgical procedures like facial fillers don’t require a recovery period. Some people experience mild swelling and bruising for a few days, but these effects are minor. With Radiesse, some people also feel small lumps where the needles went in. These can be felt but not seen, and they’ll go away quickly.
You can use an ice pack, if necessary, and sleep with your head elevated to keep swelling down.
Is Radiesse safe?
Radiesse is FDA-approved and well-tolerated. Since the calcium in the injections is so similar to the minerals already in your body, you don’t need a pre-injection allergy test.
