This past Friday the USA had a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The FDA approved Evolus’s Jeuveau to treat frown lines.
So Just What is Jeuveau?
To answer this question easily – It’s similar to Botox. Jeuveau, just like it’s competitors, is used to stop muscle movement and in turn, smooth out wrinkles in between the eyebrows. Jeuveau is botulinum toxin that is meant to be used for the improvement of wrinkles, frown lines, and creases in adults. Jeuveau has recently been FDA-approved after being evaluated in clinical studies and deemed safe and effective.
What Does This Mean for the Consumer?
Jeuveau is slated to be less expensive than Botox. Now – cheaper is not always better. RR Aesthetics strives to be educated and honest. So stay tuned while we educate ourselves as more information becomes available. There are several other competitors to Botox out there on the market that are in a lower price range so there are some great options already on the market. One thing to note is that the company Evolus is newer to the market here in the states and had a few challenges bringing this product to market. This FDA approval gives consumers another option for their cosmetic choices. Jeuveau is likely to be available throughout the United States at physician offices starting Spring 2019.
RR Aesthetics is excited to see advancements in the field of Cosmetic injectables. Once Jeuveau is commercially available we will have photos and information for you here on our website!
