Facial fillers can help us look refreshed when face structure and facial movement are taken into consideration. RHA is the 1st FDA-approved Hyaluronic Acid filler for use in dynamic facial folds and wrinkles. This fits right in with RR Aesthetics tagline! Movement is youth.
The RHA line of facial fillers brings the excellence of Swiss science to the United States. Formulated by Teoxane Laboratories, and brought to you by Revance Therapeutics, this exciting addition of facial injectables fills a niche we have been waiting for. RR Aesthetics was excited to be one of the 1st offices in the country to offer the new RHA filler line when it launched in June of 2020.
What is RHA?
RHA is a resilient Hyaluronic Acid filler. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is produced naturally by your body. As we age the production of HA decreases leading to sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. RHA is a new generation of HAand it is the 1st filler to be approved for dynamic facial wrinkles and folds.
What makes RHA different from other Hyaluronic Acid fillers like Restylane or Juvederm ?
At RR Aesthetics we pick the filler that works best for you and your wrinkles! We are very impressed that RHA fills a niche in the filler market that no other filler has yet to do. After months of assessment using our patients, RHA has become our go-to filter for those pesky fine lines that tend to get bulky with other fillers. It’s an exciting addition to the aesthetic toolbox and we use it daily here in our office.
What areas can RHA be used?
RHA can be used for almost any facial line or wrinkle. The RHA line contains 3 similar but slightly different formulations, RHA 2, RHA 3, and RHA 4. All of these are approved for use on dynamic facial lines and wrinkles. So that would be an area where you have facial movement; Lips, jaw, smile lines, cheeks, and so on.
What is RHA Redensity?
RHA Redensity is the newest fda approved filler on the market. It is the ONLY filler FDA Approved for both superficial dermal and dermal injection of dynamic perioral rhytids. This indication means that RHA Redensity can be used to target those small lines around the mouth aka "smoker's lines". This filler has a gentle quality allowing your provider to filler even the smallest lines without bulking up that area. It's meant for correction around the mouth and not an augmentation of the lips. Available now at RR Aesthetics!
Does RHA filler hurt?
RHA contains lidocaine so there is minimal discomfort. For those extra sensitive patients, we have numbing cream available if you want to arrive a few minutes early.
Is RHA safe ?
RHA is formulated by swiss company Teoxane Laboratories and received approval in Europe in 2015. Using a patented manufacturing process that is gentle, few chemical modifications are used in order to preserve the natural structure of the product.HA’s in general are less prone to reactions and the gentle manufacturing of RHA means an allergic reaction is extremely rare. Anything I should know before I come for my appointment?RR Aesthetic tells all of their patients to avoid any dental work (including cleaning) 3 weeks before or after their filler appointment. If you are sick or taking antibiotics we ask you to reschedule your appointment until you feel 100%. If you have any immunizations (Shingles vaccine, Flu vaccine, Covidvaccine) please schedule at least these 4weeks BEFORE your filler appointment to avoid any complications. Do let your provider know of any dental problems, upcoming vaccines, or other changes in your medical history.
What can I expect after my RHAinjections?
As with other dermal fillers, there is little recovery time. You can leave our office and return to your normal day. Occasionally patients experience bruising and swelling so we do advise you to avoid certain medications to minimize this possibility.
